General Mansur Muhammed Dan Ali (retired) was born on August 25, 1959 in Birnin Magaji, Zamfara State. He attended Birnin Magaji Primary School and Government Secondary School, Shinkafi Zamfara State.He obtained Higher National Diploma in Photogrammetry and Surveying from the Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna in 1982.Brigadier General Dan-Ali (retired) undertook various military courses at the Nigeria Defence Academy, and was awarded Short Service Course (SSC 25) NDA in 1984. He proceeded to Bayero University, Kano and obtained a Masters Degree in Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) in 2009. He also holds a Masters Degree in Security Studies from the Bangladesh University of Professionals. After his commissioning as a Lieutenant, he served in different capacities as Battery Captain, Adjutant and Battery Commander. He has been decorated with several medals which include Forces Meritorious and Distinguished Service Stars, Pass Services Course (Dagger) Field Command Medals among others.Brigadier General Mansur Muhammed Dan Ali (retired) is here presented to take his oath of office as a member of the Federal Executive Council representing Zamfara State.
The Ministry is responsible for providing administrative support and services to the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Its role is to provide the necessary support to build and maintain a modern, compact, strong, professional and mission-ready armed force for the Defence of territory on land, at sea and in the air. It also plays a key role in facilitating the armed forces in their role as a peace-making and peace-keeping force throughout the world.VISIONIn recognition of the challenges of the new millennium, a military sector with modernized equipment, well-trained in all aspects of military operation, fully professionalized, compact and mobile with adequate equipment, firepower and communications, capable of fulfilling its constitutional responsibilities and performing its international peace-keeping role proudly and efficiently is in place.
To provide administrative and support services, timely and effective to enable the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to build and maintain a modern, compact, strong, professional, mission-capable and mission-ready armed forces for the defence of national territory, maritime interest, airspace and the protection and defence of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and to contribute to peace-making and peace-keeping duties worldwide under sub-regional and global organizations of which Nigeria is a member.
